Traci's escapades with moronic strangers who are way too concerned with her mothering skills have got me thinking: luck favors the prepared. You're bound to have a run-in with those nosy bitties when you are out with your kids, so you have got to be ready to come back with something really choice. You want to send a message: I am smarter than you and I'm gonna teach you a lesson for not knowing that.
Been thinking a lot about this subject, so wanted to share the following suggested responses:
"Look, lady, this (insert alleged transgression) ain't gonna hurt her any worse than the thousand or so lines of coke I did when I was pregnant with her."
For when the jerk touches the baby or something on or near the baby: "Oh my GOD! She has an auto immune deficiency! What are you thinking?" (Grab wipes, start wiping baby and surrounding area; Grab cell phone)"Hello, police? My baby was just assaulted." (Turn to rude lady) "YOU STAY RIGHT THERE."
"Loo-la-loo-la-loo-la!" (You know, that weird, high pitched warbling noise we see on the nightly news, made by people at anti-U.S. rallies.)
"Stranger! Stranger! Stranger!" (Keep pointing and repeating until they walk away.)
I could think of more, but the key is to not react in a way that will scare your kid. You want to belittle the nosy bitty without giving your kid a complex. Of course, you do want impart on your kid a sense that mean people suck and they don't deserve your pity or forgiveness. They don't deserve your consideration. They need to learn to keep their unsolicited opinions to themselves and keep their hands off your kid!

Once a month
Hey, been meaning to post but I've been so busy. I'm down to once a month now -- how pathetic! So, I'll hit the highlights for ya.
1. Won my first jury trial. Obstruction of Justice. She's being sentenced next Friday. Should be interesting. We made a deal with her before the trial so that she would do no jail time, but the judge would not accept that. So, this wealthy stay-at-home mother who refused to cooperate with police when they tracked to her home four juveniles suspected of B&E will probably be going to jail. For how long, I don't know yet.
2. Kids are good. Tried to get some time to post pics last weekend, but they woke up too early. I got up at 7 a.m. to try to get time to do it! Stinkers!
3. Aron's last soccer game of the season is tomorrow. He's having a blast.
4. Work is good, but often overwhelming. I hate losing so much sleep over some of this stuff.
5. Nate isn't sleeping very well in his cool fire truck toddler bed. We just need to get him a regular bed.
6. Going to the beach in a few weeks. Headed to the Outer Banks.
7. Will be taking the Federal Bar Exam in December. Will start doing bankruptcies. That should be good, and make the firm some $$.
More later! Pictures soon!
